Angela Harvey

Director and Veterinary Surgeon

I came to the UK in 1999 from my home country of Zimbabwe after completing my primary veterinary degree at the University of Zimbabwe. My passion for veterinary medicine began at a very young age, growing up on a farm in Africa surrounded by animals – from livestock and pets to the incredible wildlife that forms such a unique part of Africa. Those early experiences inspired a lifelong commitment to animal health and welfare.

After gaining my MRCVS membership in London, I began my career in Southampton where I spent seven happy and formative years, developing my clinical skills and passion for small animal practice. I then made the move to Devon via a short stay at a practice in Ilminster, before moving to Ottery St Mary and working in Exeter. It was at a practice in Exeter where I met my business partners and co-founders of Milestone Vets, Charlie and Janet Withers. Recognising a shared vision and ambition, we took the exciting step of building our own practice from the ground up. What began as a two-vet practice has grown into a thriving independent small animal practice. We are incredibly proud of the
dedicated team we have built, the quality of care we provide and the trust our clients place in us.

Veterinary medicine is more than a profession for me; it is a lifelong calling that began on a farm in Africa and continues to guide my work every day. Over the years, I have had the joy of meeting so many wonderful pets and their devoted owners, each one adding to the richness of my professional journey. I remain passionate about delivering compassionate, evidenced-based care, and about nurturing the next generation of veterinary professionals within a supportive and forward-thinking
practice.
